Travel Support and Nordic NDC sign NDC framework agreement

Travel Support (The largest Swedish chain of independent travel agencies) and Danish Nordic NDC sign a Framework Agreement, where Travel Support’s 95 travel agency members will get access to market leading technology solutions for airline booking and data integration.
Nordic NDC will provide the true 3:1 source airline ticket booking tool “Symphony” from AARON GROUP that gives access to full airline content, prices, and ancillary services via NDC, Low-Cost carriers (LCC) and Amadeus in one single booking tool. With Nordic NDC’s data integration solution “Atlas” agencies will automate the data flow directly from Symphony into the agency’s back-office system. This end-to-end solution will help agencies to becoming the most advanced and competitive agencies in Sweden, with the most airline content and data handling. With Atlas, agencies who also use the Lufthansa BookaGroup/SPRK solution for group bookings, will be able to receive data directly from SPRK into their back-office system. This will help agencies save a lot of manual work, but also save on GDS ticketing fees.

This new partnership with Nordic NDC will help our members get to the forefront of this travel technology transition, that is happening in the industry right now. Once Symphony and Atlas are fully implemented, each agency will have the most up-to-date and efficient service setup, that will give our customers a better experience.
With more and more airline content is being moved away from the old Edifact based distribution systems (GDS) Travel Support member agencies will benefit from the growing number of airlines available via NDC and the LCC channels via our central setup in our ticketing office “Ticket&Tours” or via a local setup in the agency. The implementations start now, and we are ready for serving our customers with the new NDC tickets from all the airlines, who are moving content over to the NDC channel.
From 01st September 2023 SAS will also implement NDC in their distribution and will also move some ticket types away from the current channels. Our members will be ready to serve SAS NDC as well.

Symphony has already been rolled-out in our agency “Ticket & Tours” and our members can start using the service. Ticket & Tours focuses on ticketing services for travel agencies. We offer fast and personal service from experienced staff with solid knowledge. We act as a neutral partner to the travel agency and offer a complete or complementary ticketing service so that the travel agency can focus on the most important thing, the customer. Tickets, rewrites, refunds, unused e-tickets, etc. - we handle all this and more at a favourable pricing. We currently work in Amadeus, Sabre and Travelport. With Symphony we have access to more than 35 NDC airlines and 150+ LCC airlines and our members can offer the best available fares and ancillary services to our customers.

Travel Support is the perfect example of a group of agencies, who are focused on staying in the front when it comes to new technology. With this new solution Travel Support will for sure challenge the big global TMCs in the Swedish and Scandinavian market with better products and services especially within NDC. As it looks right now, the global TMCs are far away from having any fully functional NDC solutions in the Nordic region at this moment. So, in this “gap” there are a lot of possibilities for the small and mid-size agencies to move in on the Nordic corporate business travel market. And Travel Support will lead the way.
